Privacy Policy for TrimKit

Effective date: 25 July 2026 · App: TrimKit — Image & Video Resizer / Optimizer

Summary: TrimKit does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no analytics, ads, tracking, or crash reporting SDKs. All processing happens on your device.

Information We Collect

None. TrimKit has no user accounts, no sign-in, no cloud backend, and no network calls initiated by the app itself. We do not know who you are and cannot identify individual users.

Device Permissions and Why They Are Requested

TrimKit only requests permissions that are needed for a feature you actively use. You may deny any permission; the corresponding feature will simply be unavailable.

PermissionPurpose
Photo Library / Gallery (read)To let you pick images or videos to resize, compress, convert, or trim.
Photo Library / Gallery (write)To save the resized image, transcoded video, extracted audio, or PDF back to your device.
Media / Music storage (Android)To save extracted audio files (M4A) to the Music folder.
Documents folder (iOS)To save extracted audio files, since Apple's Photos library does not accept audio.

The captured or selected media never leaves your device.

On-Device Processing

Third-Party Services

TrimKit does not embed any analytics, advertising, attribution, or third-party SDKs. The app relies solely on the operating system's own image, video, and file APIs.

Where Your Files Are Saved

You can move, share, or delete these files at any time using your device's own file manager or gallery app.

Data Sharing

TrimKit does not share any data with anyone, because it does not collect any data in the first place. When you tap "Share" inside the app, TrimKit hands the file to your operating system's share sheet — the destination (Messages, Email, Drive, etc.) is chosen entirely by you.

Children's Privacy

TrimKit does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It has no data collection to begin with.

Security

Because TrimKit does not transmit or store your data on any server, there is no data of yours in our possession to secure or breach. On-device files are protected by your device's own security (screen lock, disk encryption, app sandbox).

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at the same URL and the "Effective date" above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes.
